Graham Hall Sewell, of Lebanon Maine, born April 11, 1956 in Rochester, New Hampshire, died Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at Maine Medical Center after a courageous battle with Leukemia. He was the son of Philip E. Sewell and Barbara (McCabe) Sewell of Lebanon.He was a graduate of Spaulding High School, class of 1975, participating for three years in the Junior R.O.T.C. program and then went on to join the United States Air Force. After an honorable discharge, he participated with his brothers for many years in the family business. Most recently, he worked for the Town of Lebanon as Animal Control and Health Officer.Graham's life was filled with many and varied interests, including travel, hunting, fishing, masonry, gardening and being a collector of all that life offered. He is most remembered for his love of and endless devotion to the welfare of animals. Memories of his selfless generosity toward his family and friends will always be treasured.Graham will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed, by his family which include his wife of many years, Sharon (Foster) Sewell of Lebanon, his mother Barbara Sewell, his step-children, Jessica L. Gates, of Berwick and Joshua A. Gates of Lebanon, his brothers: Jonathan and his wife, Carol Sewell and Peter and his wife, Pamela Sewell; and Christopher and his wife, Janel Sewell all of Lebanon. Two sisters: Nancy Sewell of Lebanon and Deborah S. Cardinali and Brian Gardell of Berwick. Also by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.Visiting Hours will be on Friday, October 10th from 6-9 PM at Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine. A funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 11th at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Henry Gnad, officiating, at the funeral home. Contributions may be made either to the Rotttweiler Health Foundation, c/o Dorothy E. Stringer, 2075 Big Nose Drive, Centre Alabama 35960, honoring his love of animals or to Gibson Pavilion, c/o MMC Development Office, 22 Bramhall Street, Portland, ME 04102, so the caregivers can assist others as they gave so compassionately to Graham.
