Windham-Gordon E. Gray,78, passed away on June 12, 2021 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. He was born September 12, 1942 in Portland, Maine, the son of the late Ashland C. and Madeline E. (Murchie) Gray. Gordon was a force to be reckoned with. A very successful business man and entrepreneur with many years employed by UNUM and Benefit Management of Maine. He had many business concepts but never enough time to address them all. His work took him around the world cementing relationships with challenges, love of people, laughter and lifelong friendships. His successes in business dominated his every thought. In retirement, Gordon and his wife enjoyed winters in south Florida with best friends including John and Annie Tulloch sharing many "early bird specials", beach days and as sports enthusiasts, football parties rooting for the Patriots, of course. He loved his church family at Cross Community Church in Palm Beach Gardens giving thanks to the Lord. In the summer months, Gordon loved to see his friends, children and grandchildren enjoy vacationing at his Maine home on Highland Lake, with water skiing, tubing, fireworks, and evening campfires eating s'mores. He was an avid golfer enjoying rounds of golf with family and friends at Gorham Country Club. Many thanks to his caregivers, Barbara Mills, Tery Mattison, Northern Lights Hospice Care, Home Instead Senior Care and Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for making this journey more comfortable. Gordon was predeceased by his brother, Gary Gray. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mimi Mills Gray; his sister, Connie Allen and her husband David; a son, Michael and wife Bernadette; daughters, Lisa Peters and her husband Charles, Julie Araujo and her husband David; stepchildren, Teresa Stringer and her husband Matthew, James McDonald and his wife Megan; ten grandchildren and one great grandson; several nieces and nephews and their families. All of which he was very close to and enjoyed many holiday functions together.
