Gloria M. Letourneau

Gloria M. Letourneau, 77, formerly of New Dam Road, died February 26 at the Newton Center in Sanford.She was born in Sanford on October 20, 1927, the daughter of Herman and Idella (Reid) Connors. She attended Sanford schools and Sanford High School.A lifelong resident, she had been employed with the former Sanford Dress Shop for 19 years and then with Cyro Industries for 12 years, retiring in 1986. In her retirement, she became a valued volunteer for the Greenwood Center in Sanford. She enjoyed crafting and sewing in her spare time.She was a communicant of Holy Family Church.Her husband, Joseph E. Letourneau, died in 1977.Survivors include a son, Joseph Letourneau, Jr. of Lebanon, 2 daughters, Gayle Farnsworth and her husband Douglas of Sanford, Geraldine Nevison and her husband Ronald of Springvale, 6 grandchildren, Suzanne Farnsworth, Guy Letourneau, Shannon Farnsworth, Jason Letourneau, Shane Nevison, Tara Nevison, and 6 great grandchildren.A graveside service will be held in the spring in St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford. Arrangements are through the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.
