Gerald Belisle

Gerald Belisle, Sr., 75, of Sanford, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at the Greenwood Center in Sanford. Born in Biddeford, on October 15, 1934, he was a son of the late Donat and Vesta (Libby) Belisle. He attended local Sanford schools and then served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.In 1989 he retired from Davidson Rubber in Dover after 30 years of service with the company. He enjoyed travelling, playing cards and going to Flea Markets. Most of all he loved spending quality time with his family and friends.Mr. Belisle is predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Carl Belisle and Paul Belisle.He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lillian "Marie" (Vangjel) Belisle of Sanford, children, Gerald Belisle Jr., and his wife, Michelle of Nashua, NH, Debra A.R. Kerrigan and her husband, Patrick of Sanford, Donald M Belisle of Sanford and Brenda L. Carnes of Raleigh, North Carolina, one granddaughter, Kimberly Belisle, two sisters, Jeannine Reed of New York, Grace Allen of Ohio, one brother, Robert Belisle and his wife, Loret of Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews.At his request there will be no funeral services.Contributions may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, 80 Elm Street, Portland, Maine 04101.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.To leave the family a message of condolence please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
