George C. Wright

George Wright, 62, of Lebanon, died January 29 at the Goodall Hospital in Sanford after a lengthy illness.He was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts on April 1, 1942, a son of Gordon and Mary Wright, and attended Weymouth schools.He was an army veteran in the early 1960'2.He moved to Lebanon in 1969 and was most recently employed with Prime Tanning in Berwick.He was a member of the VFW and the AmVets in Sanford, and as a member of the Sanford-Springvale Fish and Game Club, he loved to hunt.Survivors include his wife of almost 40 years, Marie (DeKarski) Wright of Lebanon, 2 sons, Gordon Wright and his wife Angela of Sanford, Bill Wright and his fiancee Susan of Alfred, by a brother John, 3 sisters Linda, Shirley and Wendy, and by 8 grandchildren.A period of visitation will be held from 12-2 PM on Wednesday at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.
