Charpentier, 92 years old, formerly of 65 School Street, died peacefully on April 8, 2005 at the Newton Center in Sanford.She was born in Limerick on August 10, 1912, a daughter of Ernest and Agnes (Carroll) Stacey. She attended Limerick schools and was employed at a factory in Limerick until she married Alfred R. "Bob" Charpentier of Sanford in 1935. The couple resided on School Street until Mr. Charpentier's death in 1989.Mrs. Charpentier had been employed over the years with the former Goodall-Sanford textile Mills, various local shoe manufacturers, and retired from Tenneford Weaving in 1974.She is survived by her daughter, Angie and her husband John Charette of Alfred; three grandsons, John and his wife Lorrie Charette of Nashville, Steve and his wife Denise of Springvale, and Scott and his wife Karen of Scarborough; five great-grandchildren, Jacob and Rachel of Nashville, Ryan and Jason of Springvale, and Ethan of Scarborough.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 13th at 9:00 AM at St. Ignatius Church in Sanford. Committal services will be held at a later time.Mrs. Charpentier was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. During most of the last eight years, she suffered the gradually debilitating effects of Alzheimer's disease. She and her family are ever appreciative of the professional, attentive and loving care she received from the staff of the Newton Center in Sanford.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Activity Department, c/o The Newton Center, 35 July St. Sanford, ME 04073Arrangements completed by the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home.
