Ford A. Carlton

SanfordFord A. Carlton, 79, of Sunset Towers in Sanford died at his home Wednesday morning March 13, 2002.Mr. Carlton was born on September 26, 1922. He was the son of Kenneth and Lois Allen Carlton. He attended Sanford schools and lived in the area most of his life.Mr. Carlton was a veteran of WWII serving for the Army in the European Theatre and the Pacific Theatre. He worked as a machinist for the Eastern Air Devices of Dover. He was a member of the Springvale Masonic Lodge and the Sanford Unitarian Church. He also enjoyed watching and attending stock car races, collecting tools, and spending time with his grandchildren.His wife Patricia Allen Carlton predeceases him.Surviving is a daughter Kim and Marcel Blouin of Springvale; their children Jarrod and Katherine, and a brother James Carlton of Sudbury, MA.Friends are invited to attend a 2:00 PM memorial service on Friday March 15, 2002 at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St. Springvale.
