Florence S. Wallace

Florence S. Wallace, 70 years old, of Sanford Maine died Monday afternoon March 1, 2004 at the Goodall Hospital in Sanford after a lengthy battle with several illnesses.Mrs. Wallace was born on January 10, 1934 in Linderhurst, NY. At a very young age she moved to Sanford, ME with her parents Robert and Cora Liberty Holland. She attended local schools and worked various jobs over the years. However, her most important and most rewarding job was caring for her husband and children for so many years. As a young lady Mrs. Wallace enjoyed being outdoors spending time in her garden. She loved the company of her neighbors and friends, and often found herself caught up in some good reading. She enjoyed day trips to the White Mountains, or a seaside lobster lunch. Although her health was not the greatest her heart and spirit kept her going.Predeceasing Mrs. Wallace is her husband Fred.Surviving are three daughters, Cathy Fernald of Sanford, Brenda Wallace of Buxton, Donna Guillory of Buxton, a son Andrew Wallace of Sanford; three grandchildren, Jason, Ann, and Tiffany; a great-granddaughter Kaylee, and a brother Robert Wallace.A period of visitation for Mrs. Wallace will be held on Wednesday March 3, 2004 from 5 to 9 pm at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale, ME; where funeral services will be held on Thursday the 4th at 1:00 pm. Father Timothy Nadeau officiating.
