  2. Uncle Ferd was my Dad’s youngest brother. He was so loved by his family. He always told all of his nieces that we were his favorite. It’s been a family joke for years. That’s just how he was. He always cried when he would see us. He had a heart full of love for his family.

  3. My heart is broken for this family. Uncle Ferd was loving, kind and the best Uncle to all of us. Give Daddy a hug for me Uncle Ferd. I love you forever and always😘😘😘

  4. RIP Uncle Ferd. Love and hugs to Aunt Pat, Stevie and the entire family. We all loved him dearly and will miss him very much!

  5. Uncle Ferd was the kindest, most sensitive man I ever met. His service to Country, dedication to family, exceptionally sharp wit, intelligence and work ethic inspired many. He always made you feel important, respected and loved. I will truly miss him and look forward to reuniting on the other side someday! Love you Uncle Ferd!

  6. I worked with Ferd at PWA, in East Hartford and always enjoyed his conversations when I visited North Berwick. He always had a smile and when answering a question, he told it to you straight up, even if he knew you would not like the answer. He worked hard and I am glad he enjoyed his retirement years. Blessing to his entire family!

  10. Ferd was a great guy that everyone loved to be around especially kids! He was great with kids as teenagers ferd was a chaperone for the after school ski trips on Friday nights to Shawnee peak and on the bus rides all the kids were always gathered around ferd and he would joke around or have a story for us, but I just remember him as a magnet to kids that wanted to have fun! His neighbor jack was his good buddy! He will be greatly missed and always loved by many!

  11. Pat & Steven, Ferd will be missed by many… we are only two people that spent quality time with him & enjoyed his company.🌹🙏🏻

  12. Not funny at first, but later it was.. There was a loud banging at their front door & Ferd thought someone was tryin to break in..He yelled, cursed & threatened the so called intruder. After the noise quieted down, it was discovered that the intruder was a baby deer who saw his reflection in the glass & ran into it.. DNR later came & took it away. Ferd I will always remember this moment..❣️🌹

  13. Ferd was friendly, courteous and always willing to offer a helping hand when he could. He would do anything for his Son Steven.

  14. Ferd loved the NFL especially the NE Patriots and Professional baseball trying not to miss a Boston Red Sox game/. He hated dogs pooping on his beautiful lawn & wasn’t shy to let you know!!

  16. Uncle Ferd loved all of his family and he used to whisper to each of his many nieces and great nieces”You are my favorite, but don’t tell the others!” It’s been a joke among us all that each of us was his favorite #1.

  17. Rich and I are so sorry for the loss of Uncle Ferd….Sending prayers, hugs and love to all our family.

  18. Uncle Ferd was a genuine, caring ,sweet man who loved his family dearly. When you were with him he made you feel like the most important person to him because he did sincerely love people.

  19. What a blessing Ferd was to our family. One of our fondest memories of moving to Acton was meeting our new neighbors, Pat and Ferd. They were everything we hoped for in neighbors and quickly became our friends. Ferd lit up every time the boys would run, or ride their bikes, up his driveway. He always stood waiting with a smile and a hug. It was very obvious early on in our meeting that both Pat and Ferd would become a big part of our family. Of special note was the bond that Ferd and my youngest, Jack, quickly built. They were kindred spirits and Best Buddies in no time. Jack waited most mornings for Ferd to pass on his way to the gym so they could have a morning chat. If Ferd didn’t pass by our driveway, Jack often took off to ring Ferd’s bell (no matter how early). I apologized profusely after the first incident, but Ferd would not hear it. As far as he was concerned, his “Little Buddy” was always welcome. If you know Jack you know what a relief that was to hear (no stopping him once he’s made up his mind… Hahaha). We are forever grateful for the gift of Ferd’s presence, kindness, and love, in our lives. Ferd you have left a mark on our hearts that will never be erased. We hope you have found the comfort and peace that you so rightly deserve. Until we meet again dear friend. Pat and Steve we are holding you close in thought and prayer.
