Evelyn Fraser

Evelyn Fraser, 97 of Sanford died Monday afternoon April 22, 2002 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.Mrs. Fraser was born on October 12, 1904 in Bradford, England. At the age of 7 she moved to the Sanford area and began attending school there. Since moving from the U.K. Mrs. Fraser has resided in Sanford all her life.For many years Mrs. Fraser worked at the local textile mills and retired from the Jagger Brothers Mill in 1982 at the age of 78. She was a loving mother and grandmother and her greatest interest was family.Surviving is a daughter Mrs. Doris (Lloyd) Woodman of Springvale, a son Mr. Gordon (Dian) Fraser of Lebanon, a sister Irene Bishop, 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and on great, great-grandson.A period of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday April 24, 2002 at the Heald Funeral Home, Springvale.
