Eunice T. Cohen

Eunice Towle Cohen, 93, died March 20, 2005 at the Pavilion in Sanford.She was born April 11, 1911 in Wolfeboro, NH, the daughter of Roy and Etta (Bodge) Towle. Eunice spent part of her life living and working in Hartford, CT and also lived and worked in Venice, CA. For a few years she and her husband owned a country store in East Dixfield, ME. She spent the last part of her life living near her family in Lebanon, ME where she was a member of the Lebanon-North Berwick Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts and sewing and was also known for her good sense of humor.Mrs. Cohen was predeceased by her husband, David Cohen in 1987. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Chase) Gerrish of Lebanon, ME; three step-daughters, Jane Miller of Texas, Sandra Whitehouse of Florida and Sylvia Towle of Alaska. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A period of visitation will be held at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale on Tuesday, March 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 23 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
