Eugene E. Sprague

Eugene E. Sprague, 86 years old of West Newfield, ME died Thursday, May 15, 2003 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford.Mr. Sprague was born on March 31, 1917 in Ossipee NH. He was the son of Wilbur and Nellie Junkins Sprague. Mr. Sprauge was an avid woodsman who greatly loved the outdoors. Mr. Sprauge also enjoyed spending time farming and traveling to the White Mountains.A son, Earl Williams, predeceased Mr. Sprague.Mr. Sprague enjoyed a career in the lumber industry and over the years worked for Woodsome Lumber, Moulton Lumber and Middleton Lumber. Mr. Sprague is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sylvia Sanborn Sprague. Three daughters, Bessie Smith, Joyce Woodsome, and Rose Marie Graffam. Two sons, Lester Sprague and Ron Sprague. Five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and four great-great grandchildren.Visitation will be held Sunday, May 18, from 5-8 pm. at Heald Funeral Home in Springvale. A Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 19, at 2:00 pm.
