Ethelind L. Walker

Ethelind L. Walker, 85 years old, of Acton, ME died Thursday, January 26, 2006 in Saco, ME.Mrs. Walker was born on June 3, 1920 in Springvale, ME. She was the daughter of Frank and Annie (Hanson) Muchmore.Mrs. Walker was raised in the Sanford/Springvale area. She was a graduate of Sanford High School, and for many years she worked for General Electric and A.S.C.S. as a typist. She moved to Shapleigh and lived there until she left for Acton in 1970.Mrs. Walker was a member of the Shapleigh First Baptist Church; where she served on the board of trustees for eight years, and assisted as church clerk.In her down time Mrs. Walker enjoyed the outdoors. She liked to hunt, fish, feed the birds, squirrels and deer, and care for the lame animals she would find.Predeceasing Mrs. Walker is a stepson Vernon Walker Jr., and her husband Vernon Walker Sr.Surviving are two sons; John Ford Sr. and his wife Judith of Brooks, ME, Jerold Ford and his wife Darlene of Wells, ME; two grandchildren, John Ford Jr. and his wife Amy of Pitchfield, ME, Sheri Elwell and her husband John of Springvale, ME, and two great-grandchildren, Lucas Alan, and Elizabeth Ellen Ford both of Pitchfield, ME. She is also survived by a stepdaughter, Christine Malo and her husband Rick of Framingham, Mass. At Mrs. Walkers request services will be held privately at the family's convenience.
