Ethel M. Johnson

Ethel M. Johnson, 81, of Alfred, Me. died on Sunday November 3, 2002 at the Newton Center in Sanford after a long illness.She was born in Madison, NH on December 3, 1920; the daughter of Frank and Sylvia Harriman Bickford. She attended Madison school and graduated from Madison H.S. in 1938. She then moved to Alfred where she has resided ever since.For many years she worked in local restaurants and retired from Sprague Electric in 1962 after 16 years of service.Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Alfred Parish Congregational Church. She was also a member of the New Horizons and the 50+ Club of Waterboro.Surviving is her husband Elwyn Johnson of Alfred; two sons, Arthur, and Roderick, two grandchildren, Timothy and Trisha, a great-grandson Clinton, and a sister Jessie Allen.A memorial service will be held at the Heald Funeral Home, Springvale on Tuesday November 19th at 11:00 AM.
