Eleanor L. RiopelSpringvaleEleanor L. Riopel, 90, of Springvale died Thursday September 26, 2002 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.Mrs. Riopel was born on February 20, 1912 in Sanford, ME. She was the daughter of Frank and Florence Seavey Bickford. She attended Sanford & Springvale schools. For a short period of time she worked at the Allied Shoe Factory of Springvale, but spent most of her time at home as a homemaker.Mrs. Riopel was a member of the Pleasant St. Free Baptist Church; where she was a member of the "Gleaners" club. She enjoyed sewing, and selling bait from her home to local fishermen.Predeceasing her is her first husband Kenneth Muchmore, her second husband James Riopel, and a stepdaughter Peggy Forgoine.Survivors include her sisters Dorothy Boothby of Springvale, Marion Walmsley of W. Buxton, Ruth Rankin of Springvale, a stepson James Riopel Jr. of VA, and several nieces and nephews.A period of visitation will be held on Monday September 30, 2002 from 1 to 2 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, Springvale.
