Eleanor M. Oatley

Eleanor M. Oatley, 73, of Alfred, passed away surrounded by her loving family at her home on Tuesday October 11, 2005, following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 21, 1932 in Westville, NH, a daughter of Albert A. and Angelina (Aucoin) Sargent.She grew up and attended local schools in Haverhill, MA. On May 22, 1955 she married Warren C. Oatley III at St. Jame's Catholic Church in Haverhill, MA. They resided in Englewood, Florida 16 years. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and always helpful and kind.She is predeceased by two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her loving family, her husband of 50 years, Warren C. Oatley III of Alfred, her children, Cheryl A. Slaiciunas and her husband, Stephen of Branford, CT, Karen M. Voishnis and her husband, Mark of Sanford, Steven W. Oatley and his loving girlfriend Andrea Grecious of Hampton, NH, Terri J. Costin and her husband, Bart of Sanford, one sister, Shirley A. Lovett and her husband, Jake of Edgewater, FL, grandchildren, Michael Slaiciunas, Rachael Slaiciunas, Jodie-Marie Voishnis, Jameson Voishnis, Jay Voishnis, Jack Voishnis, Shea Costin and Hannah Costin as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.Visiting hours will be on Friday October 14 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home 580 Main Street in Springvale. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sanford. Interment will be private at Holy Angels Cemetery in Plaistow, NH.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH 03766.
