Edward A. Martel

Edward A. Martel, 46 Years old, of Lebanon, ME died Tuesday March 31, 2004 at his home in Lebanon.Mr. Martel was born on June 27, 1957 in Sanford, ME. He was the son of Leon and Irene (Sevigny) Martel. He attended local schools, and for many years worked in construction.Mr. Martel was a big man with a big heart. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast, and enjoyed traveling on his Harley to bike rallies all over the country. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping, or the occasional ride to the beach. Every year he participated in the Toys for Tots campaign, and loved to make poker runs with his friends. Mr. Martel was also a pretty handy man, and even built his own home. He was also a member of the United Bikers of Maine.Predeceasing him is his father Leon P. Martel.Survivors include his mother Irene B. Martel of Sanford, a daughter Tara Martel of Sanford, a son Philippe Sigouin of Lebanon, a sister Elaine Morin of Sanford, a brother Maurice Martel of North Carolina, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and good friend and companion Debbie Durgin of Lebanon.Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4, and 6 to 8 pm on Monday April 5, 2004 at the Heald Funeral Home, Springvale, ME; where services will be held on Tuesday the 6th of April at 1:00 pm.In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the United Bikers of Maine, P.O.
