Edward Derzawiec

Cape Elizabeth – Edward Derzawiec, 68, passed away on August 30, 2026, at his home. Ed was born on February 12, 1958 in Port Reading, NJ, son of the late William and Ann (Gromala) Derzawiec.

He graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1976, and Syracuse University in 1980.

Ed married Wendy Derzawiec in 1981. They had three children.

Ed was employed in various engineering roles at Motorola Semiconductor and Fairchild Semiconductor, the latter lasting 30 years.

Ed is survived by his wife, Wendy; children, Jamie and her husband John Hatz, Gary, and Julie Derzawiec; grandsons, Alex and Luke Hatz; sisters, Karen Derzawiec and her husband John Stanford, Nancy and her husband John Van Beek, Patricia and her husband Tom Matlon, and Mary Ann and her husband Paul Geoffrey; and brother, William Derzawiec; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12pm on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 8 Two Lights Rd. Cape Elizabeth, ME. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Homes of South Portland, 1024 Broadway South Portland.
