Edward J. Binette

Edward J. Binette, 62, of Sanford, died on Monday, December 20, 2010 surrounded by family at his home following a courageous two year battle with cancer.Edward was born in Sanford on October 31, 1948 to Roger and Anita (Foucault) Binette and attended local schools, graduating for Sanford High School in 1968. He was employed at Moore Business Forms in Dover, NH for 30 years and went on to work for Goss International in Durham, NH for five years before retiring in 2008.Edward was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and kayaking. He also enjoyed traveling with friends. He was an animal lover and was particularly fond of his dogs, Sophie and Cali. Edward was a very laid back man and had a great sense of humor. He will be remembered as a kind and loving husband and brother and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Donna Binette of Sanford; his sister, Gloria Henry and her husband Thomas of Alfred and several cousins, nieces and nephews.At Edward's request services will be private.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of Southern Maine, 180 US Route One #1, Scarborough, ME 04074.Arrangements are under the direction of Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home in Springvale, ME.To leave a message of condolence for the family click on the condolences tab to the left.
