Edward Gustie Aho

Edward "Ed" Aho, 66, resident of Thurrell Rd, So. Berwick, died peacefully, December 25, 2004 with his loving family by his side. He was born Nov. 15, 1938 in Boston, Massachusetts a son of Gustie H. and Marion (Troop) Aho. Mr. Aho served in the U. S. Navy and the experience reinforced his love of the ocean and sailing. He worked many years in the Boston area as a draftsman and mechanical engineer for several different companies. He enjoyed the solitude of his home in Maine, raising his dogs, kayaking and reading maritime history.Mr. Aho has made Maine his home for the past 15 years. He met his wife, Marcy on a sailing trip out of Camden Harbor. Together, they have enjoyed their children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Marcelline "Marcy" Aho of So. Berwick, a son, Glenn Aho of Lincoln; two stepdaughters, Leslee Kelley of Scarborough and Sara Beller of Tenn; his sister, Patricia Cunningham; and brother, Tom Aho both of Massachusetts; 7 grandchildren and helped raise 6 Foster children.Please join his family on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at The Heald Family Center, (next door to the funeral home) 574 Main St., Springvale from 12 pm until 3:00 pm for a time of remembrance and refreshments.
