Edna S. Perry

Edna Schinski Perry, 73, of Shapleigh died January 13, 2004 at Maine Medical Center in Portland after courageously battling cancer for four years. She was born at Staten Island, Richmond, N.Y. May 2, 1930 a daughter of Francis J. and Rose (Marzalik) Schinski and graduated from Port Richmond High School of New York. Mrs. Perry was a purchasing agent for Rite Aide Pharmacy Stores for 11 years in Bayonne, N.J. She trained over 44 managers for stores through out New England. She served on the Executive Board of the Hudson County PTA and was active with other civic and charitable organizations.She and her family summered in Shapleigh many years before making Maine their full time home in 1975. Mrs. Perry enjoyed the ocean, walking along the coast and day trips through out the New Hampshire Mountains. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Horace "Bill" Perry of Shapleigh and close friends, Frank and Deborah Sanborn of Shapleigh. She was predeceased by two sons, William James Perry in 1991 and Steven Joseph Perry in 1996.Graveside Services will be held later in the spring at Highland Grove Cemetery in Shapleigh.
