Leeman, 68, of Sanford, Maine, died August 13, 2001 at The Barron Center, Portland, Maine.He was born in Bucksport, Maine on March 26, 1933 the son of Vernon and Eva Pray Leeman.Mr. Leeman worked for The Cutler Naval Station in Cutler, Maine. He then worked for over 20 years as a tax assessor for The Maine State Bureau of Taxation, retiring June 30 of 1975.He lived in Maine all of his life, moving to this area in 1997.Mr. Leeman loved the outdoors, enjoying snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, camping and cross country skiing.He is survived by his wife of ten years Rose Berube Leeman of Sanford, Maine; a son Gary Leeman of Hancock, Maine; daughters Kathryn Goree of Running Springs, CA., Debbie Dowling of Whiting, Maine; brothers Maynard Leeman of Bucksport, Maine, Ernest Leeman of Virginia; a sister Verna Hardison of Ellsworth, Maine; he is also survived by 6 granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter.Funeral services will be held privately.
