Dwight R. McPherson

Dwight R. McPherson, 38 of E. Waterboro died Wednesday April 10, 2002 at the Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.Mr. McPherson was born on March 8, 1964 in Saco, ME. He is the son of Virginia M. (Swett) Day. Dwight graduated from Massabesic H.S. in 1982. For many years he worked as an auto parts salesman for VIP Auto, NAPA and other various auto parts stores. Mr. McPherson was a past master, and member of the Fraternal Order of Masons. He was a lifetime member of the Waterboro Fire & Rescue where he served as an E.M.T., and was also past president and member of the Waterboro Jaycees, as well as a member of the Eagles Club.Mr. McPherson will be most remembered for the love of his 1966 Ford pick-up "Evelyn". Evelyn was his pride and joy. Restoring her was his greatest achievement. He often traveled with Evelyn to auto shows and competitions within Maine.Predeceasing him are three brothers, Jerry, Dana, and Dale McPherson.Survivors include his father, Donald C. Day and his Mother, Virginia (Swett) Day of E. Waterboro; three brothers, Douglas R. (Nancy) McPherson of Rockford, IL, Derryl R. (Julie) McPherson of Montville, ME, Dennis R. Day of Hollis, ME; a sister Dawn D. (Scott) Drown of Saco, ME; five nephews, Christopher, Brandon, Benjamin, Sean, Matt; five nieces, Bethany, Melanie, Sarah, Jessica, and Kaylee. Also surviving are his grandmothers, Frances Swett, Grace L. Day, and special friends and caretakers Eric Jacobsen, and Kenny Hamilton.A period of visitation will be held from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Friday April 12th at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St. Springvale, ME; where funeral services will be held on Saturday April 13th at 1:00 PM. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday followed by the Waterboro Fire and Rescue service.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Waterboro Fire & Rescue, P.O.
