Dorothy Blagge Caldwell Morrill, 90, of Parsonsfield passed away on Thursday February 2, 2006 at the Newton Center in Sanford. She was born in Brookline, MA on November 10, 1915 a daughter of Dr. George Blagge Caldwell and Annie May Whitmore Caldwell. She attended schools in Concord, MA. She was proud of the fact she received her G.E.D. in 1985 at the age of 70 years old from the Sacopee Valley High School.On December 15, 1936 she married Clarence F. Morrill , they both moved into their house and lived there until their passing. She was a Life Member and Past Matron of the Dayspring Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Orchard Grange, Parsonsfield Extension, St. Andrew's Society of Maine, Restoration of the Old Town House Committee.She was an avid traveler and enjoyed knitting, quilting, sewing, reading, cooking, tatting, history, hunting, playing the violin. She loved classical music. What brought her the greatest joy was the time spent with her family. She is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Clarence F. Morrill who died on September 28, 2001, one brother, George W. Caldwell, two grandchildren, Sarah Morrill and Robert Morrill Jr.She is survived by her children, Joseph F. Morrill and his girlfriend, Vera Matthews, Benjamin F. Morrill and his wife, Marilee, Judith C. Roberts, Henry D. Morrill and his wife, Julie A.E. Morrill, Betsey A. Dubois and her husband, Raymond, J. David Morrill and his wife, Diane C., and longtime penpal from Fife Scotland, June Brown, 17 grandchildren, 17 greatgrandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.A graveside service will be announced in the spring at Maplewood Cemetery in Parsonsfield. Contributions may be made in her memory to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, Att: Memorials, 12322 22nd Street N.W. Washington, DC 20037-1292.
