Doris Lena Trombley

Falmouth - Doris L. Trombley, 88, died peacefully on March 2, 2024. She was born on August 21,1935, in Portland, Maine to Edward and Sadie Joy. Doris grew up in Portland and graduated from Portland High School. She married Harold Trombley on February 11, 1956, and devoted herself to raising her two sons in Scarborough. Doris was a dedicated member of her community and was very active with the Scarborough Community Service 55+ programs where she enjoyed the activities, trips and friendships. Doris was also known for her active involvement as a volunteer at her parish, St. Maximillian Kolbe. She was a member of the Columbiettes and was at one time, president. Her commitment to serving others left a lasting impact on all who knew her. In her free time, Doris enjoyed quilting and painting. Her creations were beautifully done and a reflection of her creativity. However, her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, and especially being "Nana" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy of love and kindness will be remembered by those whose lives she touched. She was predeceased by her parents and husband. She is survived by her sons, Steve Trombley (Angie) and Brian Trombley; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Service will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland, Maine.
