Doris P. Hayes

SanfordDoris P. Hayes, 86, of Sanford died Thursday October 11, 2001 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford.Mrs. Hayes was born on March 16, 1915 in Biddeford, ME. She was the daughter of Arthur and Alice Pugsley Provencal. She attended Biddeford schools and was raised there as a child.Mrs. Hayes was primarily a homemaker. She enjoyed time with her family, making jigsaw puzzles, doing crossword puzzles, and visiting the Dollar Store. Whenever visiting her daughter Pat of Edmonds, ME she would ride along with her while her daughter drove the school bus. She also enjoyed long walks, and baking biscuits.Her husband Louis M. Hayes predeceases her.Surviving are four daughters, Marlene Alexander of Sanford, Colleen Couture of Sanford, Sharon Bennett of Tennessee, Pat Day of Edmonds, ME, a son Richard Hayes of Shapleigh, 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
