Mayo, Sr., 67, of East Waterboro, Maine, died Friday August 9, 2002 at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford after complications following surgery.He was born in Milo, Maine on April 18, 1935, he was the son of Albert and Sadie (Boyd) Mayo, and attended schools in Milo.Mr. Mayo worked as a warehouse foreman for Textron Automotive in Farmington, NH., for 31 years, retiring in 1996.He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and the Red Sox.He is survived by his wife Lillian; three sons Donald Jr. of East Waterboro, ME., Brian of Alfred, ME., and Kevin of North Waterboro, ME; a daughter Dianne of Dayton, ME; eleven brothers and sisters, Robert of Milo, ME., Hazel Parker of Dover, NH., Maynard of Petersburg, West Virginia, Laurel of Hiram, ME., Betty Stackpole of Somersworth, NH., David of Milo, ME., Gail Bean of Wells, ME., Gene of Berwick, ME., Dennis of New Durham, NH., Bill of Wells, ME., Gloria Stevens of Wells, ME and 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main St., Springvale, where a funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday.
