Donald P. Folsom

Donald P. Folsom, 93, of Folsom Ln., Springvale died early Sunday morning April 28th, 2002 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.Mr. Folsom was born on November 27, 1908 in Springvale. He was the son of Willis and Laura Goodwin Folsom.Mr. Folsom attended Sanford schools, and was a graduate of the Sanford High School class of 1926. For many years Mr. Folsom worked at the family owned Folsom Bros. Store. He worked as a parcel post carrier for the Springvale Post Office, a machinist for Saco Lowell a real estate broker for several area real estate companies, and many various other jobs.He was a member of the Shapleigh First Baptist Church, the Springvale Masonic Lodge, the Pioneer Scottish Rite Club, and the Folsom Family Association.Predeceasing him are 2 brothers, Lysle, and Floyd.Survivors include his wife of 66 years Beulah Pillsbury Folsom, a daughter Mrs. Joyce and Ernest Johnson of Billerica, MA, and Shapleigh, ME, 3 grandchildren, Mrs. Marcia and Jeffery Newell of Litchfield, NH, Mr. Dean and Stacey Johnson of Shapleigh, ME, Mrs. Christine and Kevin Morrison of Sanford, ME, 6 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild expected in August.Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday May 1, 2002 at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St. Springvale, ME; where a 1:00 PM funeral service will be held on Thursday the 2nd of May. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Springvale. The Rev. Less Dorr officiating.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shapleigh First Baptist church, P.O.
