Donald J. CoteSanford, MaineDonald J. Cote, 72, of Sanford died August 23, 2002 at the home of his daughter in Sanford.He was born in Sanford on November 12, 1929, he was the son of Andre and Emily (Rowe) Cote and attended schools in Sanford.Mr. Cote served in The Army National Guard for six years before serving two years in The United States Army.He worked for American Cyanamid for 11 years then working for Tilcon for 15 years.Mr. Cote enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his family, and playing horseshoes. He was very active in Veteran's Organizations including The American Legion and The AMVETS. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Lizzie Cote of Sanford; children Patricia Anderson of Sanford, Donald J. Cote, Jr. of Sanford and Roger Cote of Acton; his siblings Rita Cote of Sanford, Beatrice Fletcher of Sanford, Ernest Cote of Shapleigh, Andre Cote, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Sanford, Ronald Cote and his wife Susan of Sanford; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Mr. Cote was predeceased by his sister Theresa Morin who died in 1990.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday August 28th at 7:00 PM at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main Street, Springvale.
