To Donald’s Grandson Ed, I am so sorry for your loss Ed. Your work family at FAA New England Region are thinking of you during this time of loss and grieving. Colleen D.
Great memories visiting Uncle Don and Aunt Therese on Roberts St., across from the Little League playground. Listening to the stories of helping to install lights at Goodall Park as well as having foul balls hitting his house and denting the siding, but then having a bucket of balls in the garage and ready to give a few away when we stopped over! Then there was the melted siding on his house from the 1997 park fire; and of course those stories from “the yard” about refurbishing missile launch tubes on boomer submarines! I had the joy of visiting ‘monocle’ only a week before his passing. There aren’t many of his generation left, and it was a privilege to be able to call him my uncle. Nancy and my prayers and condolences to Therese, Ronald and Paul.
I met Don at Gagnon’s Motors in Waterboro in 1971. I worked as a mechanic; Don was my Supervisor for nearly 10 years. Also my mentor, always willing to share his vast knowledge of auto repair and whatever you asked for. He wore many hats at Gagnon’s. Shop Supervisor, Service Writer, booked appointments, Parts Man, including ordering, stocking, and issuing parts, and more. I was always amazed at how well he handled all these duties efficiently. He was neat, orderly, and methodical. When it became very busy he would come out in the shop and work on vehicles, somehow keeping himself clean. I enjoyed meeting him each year at the Shipyards X38 gathering. He meant a lot to me, always treated me and all others well. You will always be in my best of memories.
Rest In Peace Don

Aunt Theresa I’m so sorry to here about uncle Donald’s passing I enjoyed seeing him at aunt Janice’s funeral last year I send my love and prayers to you and Ron and paul
We lived next door to Donald and Theresa for years. So many happy memories. Always thoughtful and friendly. Grew up with their 2 sons Ronald and Paul. RIP Don 💔😥
So sorry to hear about Don’s passing, sending my sympathies and prayers to his family. He will be missed. I worked with Don in Shop 38 at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Don was a true gentleman, very pleasant and always happy. After his retirement I would see him at The Shop 38 Annual Gathering. I had the pleasure of taking photos of him, and chatting with him. He truly enjoyed the annual event, attending most of them. I have posted a photo of him from our 2018 event.
Our thoughts and prayer are with you
He was my uncle
