Dolores M. Lavigne

Dolores M. Lavigne, 95, a lifelong resident of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the Varney Crossing Nursing Home in North Berwick. She was born in Sanford on May 13, 1915, a daughter of the late George and Rose (Robillard) Blanchette. She attended St. Ignatius School and St. Joseph's Academy in Berwick.A lifelong communicant of St. Ignatius Church, she was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. In 1986 she retired after 50 years of service in the shoe industry, having been employed by Universal Shoe, Nike and Converse.Mrs. Lavigne is predeceased by her husband, Noel Lavigne who passed away in 1991, three sisters and one brother.She is survived by her three sons and their wives, Rodney and Betty Lavigne of North Berwick, Wayne and Linda Lavigne of Sanford, Danny and Lisa Lavigne of Shapleigh, two granddaughters, Mallory Lavigne of Rochester, NH and Olivia Lavigne of Sanford.Visiting hours will be on Friday from 6 to 8PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, St. Ignatius Church in Sanford.
