E. WaterboroDolly J. Graves, 75, of Rte. 5 in E. Waterboro died early Wednesday morning December 5, 2001 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.Mrs. Graves was born on June 3, 1926 in Westbrook, ME. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mabel Halloran Conant. She attended schools there and was a graduate of Westbrook High School.For many years Mrs. Graves helped her family operate the Graves General Store in Waterboro while raising six children. She was an avid Bingo player and an all around good friend to many. When she was younger she enjoyed talking on her C.B. under the handle "Mystery Lady". She also enjoyed trips to the "Sugar Shack" playing cribbage, caring for her cats, and watching her soaps. As times changed she took up crocheting, and knitting and spent more quiet time with her family.Her husband Donald E. Graves Sr. and daughter Donna Roberts predeceased her.Surviving are three sons, Donald Jr. of Gray, Douglas of E. Waterboro, Dana of Sanford; two daughters, Dianne Blackburn of E. Waterboro, Denise Laguex of Perry Hall, MD, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Norma Grant of Grotton, CT, Sally Mancini of Portland, ME, and a brother Kendall Conant also of Portland, ME.A period of visitation will be held on Saturday December 8, 2001 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM followed by a 3:00 PM funeral service at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale, ME 04083.
