Resided in:
South Portland, Maine
Dianna Lee Reed, 69, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 09, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Dianna was born in Jersey City, NJ on July 14, 1955, the daughter of Lester and Lenore (Rodney) Punsky. She graduated from Portland High School in 1973. On August 22, 1987, Dianna married the love of her life, Roger Reed in South Portland, ME. Together, they raised their family and built a loving home.
From a young age, Dianna worked with her mother at her home daycare on Munjoy Hill where she found her love for children, later in life owning and operating her own daycare. All of those she cared for loved their “Granzy.” Dianna not only cared for the children attending her daycare, but also for those who were a part of her children and grandchildren’s lives. To Dianna, family was everything. She always put others before herself and devoted her life to looking after those she cherished deeply.
Her home was open to all. Dianna never failed to have a meal to give, an ear to listen, and a bed to sleep in. She will always be remembered as a woman of unremarkable strength, inspiration and compassion. Most importantly, Dianna lived a life led by faith, attending church on a regular basis at The First Assembly of God in Portland. It was here where she met Pastor Abraham who held a significant place in her heart. She was proud to share her love of God with others through gospel music, stories, and spoken word, leading many who had the privilege of meeting her to Christ. Until the very end of her life, Dianna praised the Lord.
Dianna was predeceased by her parents, husband, Roger Reed, and brother, Jeffrey Punsky. She is survived by her children, Christopher Landon of Agawam, MA, Trisha Stuart Landon of South Portland, ME, and Christopher Reed of Waterboro, ME; grandchildren, Kristopher and Taylor Rose Landon of South Portland, ME and Elijah Landon of Waterbury, CT; a nephew Jay Punsky of Taunton Mass, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
“She was stronger than she ever imagined, Jesus was closer than she ever realized, and she was loved more than she ever knew.” – Unknown.
Dianna will be missed immensely.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 13, 2024 at New Calvary Cemetery, 1461 Broadway, South Portland.
