Born in:
Everett, MA
Resided in:
Portland, ME
Dianna Flight passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 21, 2026.
Dianna was born in Everett, Massachusetts in 1947 attending high school in Abington, MA, graduating with the class of 1965.
Dianna went to Lesley College in Boston and received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Psychology in 1982 and began her private practice in Marblehead, MA. To supplement her healing modalities she attended the New England School of Acupuncture and was certified in 1991. She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Japanese acupuncture. Dianna was one of the first to use complementary medicine as Director of Acupuncture Services at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in oncology services and pain management.
Dianna was an artist, a healer and a lifelong learner. Studying many disciplines with artists in New England, she worked in acrylics and mixed media and finally fell in love with watercolor. Luckily, our homes are graced with her art.
She leaves her favorite granddaughter, Anya Grace Scheffreen, of Beverly, MA, her daughter, Hillary (llariya), also of Beverly, her brother Robert (and Courtney Spencer) of Portland, Maine, her sister Cathy (and Kevin Goodell) of Sonoma, CA, her nieces and nephew, Nina and Scout, and TC, along with many beloved cousins, friends, fellow healers and artists.
We thank Amanda Hall for her love and care to allow Dianna (“Didi”) to remain at home for her last year in Exeter, NH. We also thank the staff and caregivers at The Cedars in Portland and Cape Memory Care in Cape Elizabeth for their kindness and sweet caring of our DooWahDidi 🙂
