Diane 'D.J. ' Corsetti, 54 of Sanford, passed away at her home on September 14, 2006. She was born in Portland, Maine on July 18, 1952, a daughter of David and Venita (Conant) Johnson.She graduated from Portland High School in 1970. D.J. loved to cook and can jams and vegetables. She also loved camping. Diane was an expert marksman in her younger years, having placed as the top shooter of BB guns in New England back in the 1960's. She travelled the United States entering tournaments and received many awards and trophies. As a gymnast, she was also exceptional from a very young age, mastering complicated techniques on the trampoline, horse and parallel bars and high diving. She was so adept at these she was asked to exhibit her expertise in a one girl show for the Gorham, Maine school system.She sewed very well and in high school made most of her own clothing including the designing of the outfits. She was an accomplished pianinst, taking years of lessons and thoroughly enjoyed playing her deceased musician mother's piano. She also played the violin and guitar quite well.Diane was an outgoing, friendly, generous person who people immediately liked, calling her by her signature name 'D.J.' all her life.She is survived by her husband, Dennis Corsetti and two children, Kayla Bouchard and Marco Corsetti. She is also survived by her father, David Johnson, sister, Cheryl Johnson, brother, Kurt Johnson.Visiting hours will be on Saturday September 23 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street in Sanford. A Graveside service will be held on Sunday at 1pm at the Hillside Cemetery in Gorham.Condolences may be expressed by using the "condolence" tab to the left.
