David F. Torno

David Franklin "Bibby" Torno, 61, of Lebanon passed away at his home on Saturday, August 6, 2016. He was born in Sanford on April 21, 1955 a son of Bob Sr., and Elizabeth (Hurd) Torno. David graduated from Sanford High School in 1973. In 1988 he married Ellen Stilphen.He had been part owner of R & D Suzuki. He had also worked for Tilcon. For over 40 years David had been employed by RD Torno & Sons Paving and Arctic Cat Motorsports in Lebanon. Currently he was working at Southern Maine Tool.David was a big motorcycle lover. He enjoyed trinkets, grilling, racing motorcycles and snowmobiles and collecting Pez dispensers. He loved his whole family and to his nieces and nephews he was the best uncle.David is survived by his wife, Ellen Torno, parents, Bob Sr., and Elizabeth Torno, brother, Robert Torno Jr., and wife Celina, nephews, Ryan Torno, Joshua Torno, Robert Torno IV, niece, Heather Torno-Roux and husband Chris, brothers in law Arthur B. Stilphen III and wife Debra, Dennis Stilphen and wife, Deborah, nephew Shawn Stilphen and niece Sheri Ritchie as well as many great nieces and nephews.A Celebration of David's Life and a motorcycle ride "The Last Ride" will be held September 24th at 10AM at 281 Center Road in Lebanon.Those planning and expression of sympathy are asked to consider donations in his memory to the Maine Children's Cancer Program, 100 US Route 1, Unit 107 Scarborough, Maine 04074-9308.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
