Dale P. Andrews

Gorham - Dale Andrews, 82, died on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
Dale was born on September 21, 1938, in Milo, Maine, a son to the late Philip and Dorothy (Davis) Andrews. In 1956, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served during the Vietnam War. After Dale was honorably discharged, he started working at W. H. Shurtleff Company, and retired after working for over 25 years. Dale was not someone to sit still, so he started his next job at Ryder System Inc., which he continued to work at until he passed.
In his free time Dale enjoyed collecting coins and stamps, and watching World War II movies with his brother, Roger. He enjoyed putting together puzzles and could be found occasionally at the Oxford Casino. He made many great friends at the American Legion Post 197 in Westbrook, the Westbrook Eagles Club, and the AMVETS. He was an independent, hardworking man who will be greatly missed.
Dale was predeceased by his brother, Roger Andrews, Sr. He is survived by three daughters, Karen Jewell and husband Patrick of Oxford, Christine Andrews of Maine, Teri Sinclair and husband Rob of Maine; sister, Judith Dolan and husband David of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours celebrating Dale's life will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 10:00AM-12:00PM at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 12:00PM followed by a burial at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.
