Clifford Goodwin Kimball, 92, of East Lebanon, died February 3, 2004 at Goodall Hospital in Sanford.He was born June 14, 1911 in Lyman, a son of Fred and Leora (Goodwin) Kimball and attended local schools and Biddeford High School. Mr. Kimball worked 4 years for the city of Saco and the Saco -Lowell Textile Mills followed by employment at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He also worked in the Sanford Woolen Mills for many years. In 1965, Mr. Kimball moved to Connecticut and worked as a machinist for Frederick's Tool in Bristol, Connecticut, retiring in 1974. He and his wife had been part-time residents of East Lebanon, moving permanently here in 1991. Mr. Kimball attended the First Congregational Church in Lebanon. He held membership with the Arion Lodge # 162 in Goodwin Mills, AF & AM and was a former member of the Lebanon Grange. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Ernest and Rachel Berkstrom of Bristol, CT and Peter and Marsha Morin of Somerset, New Jersey. A brother and his wife Alfred and Iva Kimball of Saco; and five grandchildren, Andrew and Peter Bekstrom of Bristol, CT; Philip Martin of Lebanon, Marjorie Ketchum of Florida, and Christopher Martin of Michigan. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Chamberlin) Kimball and by his son, Fred C. Kimball in 1991.Calling hours will be held Friday, Feb. 6th. from 7 - 9 pm at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Funeral Service will be at the Heald Funeral Home, Saturday, Feb. 7th. at 2:00 pm with Rev. Henry Gnade, officiating. Burial will be later in the spring at Forest Grove Cemetery in Lebanon.Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 163 Lancaster St. Suite 160 B, Portland, ME 04101.
