Claudia Miclette 94 a resident of the Pavilion died Wednesday Evening, May 24 at her residence following a long illness. She was born in Sanford July 4, 1911 a daughter of Henry & Camille (Beaurivage) Lajeunesse. Mrs. Miclette was educated locally. She was employed at the former Sanford Mills in the weave room. A life long resident of Sanford, Mrs. Miclette enjoyed playing the piano and singing, as well as playing cards, cooking, gardening, and cannning her vegetables at the end of the growing season. She was a communicant of St. Ignatius Church and a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne.Her husband, Damase Miclette died in 1992.Survivors are her two daughters, Lorraine Paquin and her husband Donald of Springvale, with whom she resided prior to moving to the Pavilion and Annette Boucher and her husband Victor of Westbrook. Eleven grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.Visiting hours along with the reciting of the rosary will be Monday from 2-4 PM and later from 6-8 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday May 30 at 11 :00 AM in St. Ignatius Church, with interment to follow in St. Ignatius cemetery.To leave the family a message on-line, please use the "condolence" tab at the left.
