Clarence F. Morrill

Parsonsfield, MaineClarence F. Morrill, 90, of Parsonsfield, Maine, died September 28, 2001 at his residence in Parsonsfield.He was born in Parsonsfield on March 31, 1911 the son of Fred W. and Anne M. Fenderson Morrill, and attended local schools.He married Dorothy Caldwell on December 15, 1936.Mr. Morrill was a lifelong logger and lumberman who owned and operated his own sawmills.He was a 66 year member of The Drummond Masonic Lodge #118 of Parsonsfield.He was a member of The Order of The Eastern Star, Fern Chapter, Alfred, Maine.Mr. Morrill served a three year term as a selectman for the town of Parsonsfield.He enjoyed and appreciated the outdoors.Besides his wife of 64 years he is survived by sons Joseph F. Morrill of Parsonsfield, Benjamin F. Morrill of Hampden, ME., Henry D. Morrill of Freedom, NH. and J. David Morrill of Parsonsfield; daughters Judith C. Roberts of Parsonsfield and Betsy A. Dubois of Randolph, NY; a brother Philip W. Morrill of Parsonsfield; a sister Beulah A. Chute of Parsonsfield; 23 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday in Maplewood Cemetery, Parsonsfield, Maine. Rev. Robert Irish will officiate.
