Clarence G. Langley, 99 years old, formerly of N. Shapleigh and Waterboro died Thursday evening August 14, 2003 at the Seaside Nursing Home in Portland.Mr. Langley was born on April 3, 1904 in N. Shapleigh; he was the son of Fred and Eva Pillsbury Langley. Mr. Langley attended local schools and for many years worked for the Sanford/Goodall Textile Mills. He later retired from Wasco Products of Sanford.The outdoors is where Mr. Langley enjoyed himself most. He enjoyed fishing, and rabbit hunting with his beagles. He also loved to sing and dance, and was described by family as "a man who really enjoyed life." Predeceasing him in 1978 was his wife the late Mary Normandeau Langley.Surviving are two daughters; Marjorie and Harland Crandall of Sanford, Eleanor and Forrest Rollins of Waterboro, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.A 1:00 PM graveside service for Mr. Langley will be held on Monday August 18, 2003 at the Highland Grove Cemetery in N.
