Claire C. Bergeron

Claire C. Bergeron, 71 years old, of Sanford, ME died Thursday June 2, 2005 at H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford.Mrs. Bergeron was born on May 10, 1934 in Springvale, ME. She was the daughter of the late Osias and Yvonne Landry Champagne. She attended Sanford schools, and was a graduate of St. Ignatius High School. For a brief period of time Mrs. Bergeron worked for Demers Pharmacy. She then spent the remainder of her years caring for husband, and children.Mrs. Bergeron was a communicant of Notre Dame Church in Springvale, where for many years she sang in the choir, and taught CCD. She was very proud of her cooking talents, and made a delicious pork pie. Family was very important to Mrs. Bergeron; she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.Surviving is her husband of 47 years Lenny Bergeron, a sister Marguerite Sladen, and a brother Paul Champagne, all of Sanford. Also surviving are 5 children, Marguerite and her husband Kevin, Mary-Elise and her husband Albert, a son Peter, Patrice and her husband Chuck, a daughter Melissa, and eight grandchildren, Ashlee, Alex, Celina, Sarah, Haley, Bethany, Michelle, and Chris.An 11:00 AM Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Bergeron on Tuesday June 7, 2005 at Notre Dame Church in Springvale. Committal services will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Springvale.In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorials be made to the One Day At A Time Foundation, 25 June St., Sanford, ME 04073 Attn.
