Portland- Christopher Paul Boucher, 50, of Brighton Avenue died peacefully on July 7, 2021 at his home.
Chris was born in Fayettville, NC on August 13, 1970, the son of Romeo A.J. and Joan M. (Hey) Boucher.
Chris attended the Governor Baxter School for the Deaf, Woodfords West, Woodfords Adult Services and he attended CAFE. Most recently Chris was active in the Deaf Community Skills Program run by Goodwill of Maine.
Chris was kind and loving and made friends where ever he would go. He loved horseback riding, swimming and taking long walks and participating in the Special Olympics. Time surrounded by his family and friends was very important top him.
Chris was predeceased by a sister, Ann Elizabeth Boucher; maternal grandparents, Agnes Rose and Thomas S. Hey; paternal grandparents, Romeo J. and Doria A. Boucher. He is survived by his parents, Romeo A.J. and Joan M. Boucher of Westbrook; a brother, Michael J. Boucher and Sarah Novotny of CA; a sister, Jennifer and her husband, Ryan Boyd of FL; aunts and uncles, Susan and David Wallace of Portland, Thomas and Elizabeth Hey of Falmouth, Christine Hey and her companion, Robert Theberge of Portland, Phyllis Hey and Richard Wood of Portland, and Daniel P. and Mindi Hey of CA; nieces and nephews, Audrey Boucher, Kenzie and Blaine Boyd.
Visiting hours celebrating Chris' life will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 9:00am to 10:30am at the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am at St. Joseph's Church, 673 Stevens Ave, Portland with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
