Charles W. Perrine

Charles W. Perrine, 64, of Newfield, Me died Friday morning August 30, 2002 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford, Me.Mr. Perrine was born on March 14, 1938 in Washington, Pa. He was the son of Charles W. Sr. and Louise Crumrine Perrine. He entered into the armed forces in 1955 and served in the US Navy until 1959. Following his service he worked at TWA, and earned a degree from Lincoln Technical Institute of Baltimore, Md as an automotive technician. He also worked for the American Oil Company, Goodyear Tire and Rubber, and for many years was self-employed as an automotive technician.Mr. Perrine entered the ministry after attending Minot State College and Northwest Bible College. He was ordained in 1974 and completed his Bachelor of Theology and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the New Life Bible College. He and his wife raised their children in a loving Christian home starting in Baltimore, MD and extending to Portsmouth, NH, Winchester, VA, Middleton, NH, and settling in Newfield, ME while pastoring to several congregations along the way.Mr. Perrine was a professional associate of the National Christian Counselors Association and during the past 20 years he involved himself in marriage and family counseling. He was a tremendous woodworker, and enjoyed restoring and repairing antiques. He was a terrific friend to many and always took time out to chat with others. His outgoing and creative personality was perfect match to his loving family.Survivors include his wife of 45 years Judith Bishop Perrine of Newfield, Me, their two daughters Deborah and Jim White of Portsmouth, NH, Linda and Thomas Baran of Kittery, Me; two sons, William and Gina Perrine of Newfield, Me, Douglas and Debbie Perrine of Smyrna, DE; 10 grandchildren, Casey, Ryan, Jaclyn, David, Jennifer, Nicole, Ashley, Adam, Taylor, and Mathew. Also surviving is a sister Darlene and her husband John Thiess, three aunts, Ethyl Ealy, Virginia Perrine, Mary Perrine, and several nieces and nephews.An 11:30 AM memorial service for Mr. Perrine will be held on Monday September 2nd at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale, Me.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Newfield Rescue, P.O Box 170, W. Newfield, Me 04095, or to a charity of the donors choice.
