Carmen G. Michaud, 93, of Sanford, passed away quietly and peacefully on February 14, 2015 at the Southern Maine Health Care in Sanford. She was born in St. Rose, P.Q., Canada on May 2, 1921 a daughter of the late Henry and Claudia (Desrosiers) Michaud.She moved with her parents and sister Isabelle from St. Rose in 1923 to their lovely family farm in Lebanon where she remained until 2007. She then went to live and become and active resident at Hillcrest Gardens. She was a communicant and active member of Notre Dame Parish in Springvale.She graduated from Sanford High School in 1939 and faithfully served the community as a bookkeeper and accountant at the H.D. Goodall Hospital for over 40 years. She enjoyed her retirement by dining out and spending time with her friends. She was also an avid knitter and crocheter. She loved children.She is predeceased by her brother, Roger and her sisters, Isabelle and Rita.She shared a great deal of her life with her loving niece and nephews who remained part of her life until her passing and will miss her dearly.She is survived by her niece, Claudia, nephews, Paul, Henry, Andrew, Mark, Christopher, Greg and well as numerous great nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be on Friday, February 27th from 5 to & 7PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated later this spring at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church in Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
