Huntress, 91, formerly of Shapleigh, Maine, died May 2, 2002 at The Newton Center in Sanford.She was born in Portland, Maine on October 2, 1910, she was the daughter of Walter and Gertrude Dunn, and attended schools in Portland.Mrs. Huntress was a past president and secretary for The Salvation Army in Sanford. She was a member of The Shapleigh Corner Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping.She is survived by her sons Walter Huntress of Shapleigh, Charles Huntress of Shapleigh and Fred Huntress of Shapleigh; a daughter Ruth Smith of North Berwick; a brother Ralph Routhier of Freeport; 20 Grandchildren 28 Great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.She was predeceased by her husband Carl Huntress who died in 2000. She was also predeceased by a son Leslie Huntress, a daughter Beatrice Huntress, and brothers Richard and Carl Routhier.Relatives and friends may call from 2:00 PM - 4: 00 PM on Sunday at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main Street, Springvale, where a funeral will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday.
