Carl A. Blanchard

Carl A. Blanchard, 54, of Springvale died early Friday morning April 26, 2002.Mr. Blanchard was born on February 24, 1948 in Sanford, ME. He was the son of Fred and Rosina Firth Blanchard.He attended Sanford schools, and was a graduate of the Sanford High School class of 1966. Following High School Mr. Blanchard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was most recently employed by Morin Steel of Alfred.Mr. Blanchard greatly enjoyed spending time with his children and grandson.Surviving is a daughter Amanda K. Blanchard of Lebanon, a son Tyler F. Blanchard of Springvale, a grandson Casey T. Blanchard, and his ex wife and friend Sharon Blanchard of Lebanon. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Judith Bridges of Portsmouth, NH, Barbara Yates of Alfred; two brothers, Arthur Blanchard of Alfred, Gary Blanchard of Hinesville, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews.Friends are invited to attend a 2:00 PM memorial service on Tuesday April 30, 2002 at the Acton Congregational Church.
