Brian D. Graffam, 40, of Bartlett Bridge Road, died suddenly at his home, Monday, February 21, 2005.He was born June 3, 1964 in Sanford a son of Lewis F. and Elsie M. (Stewart) Graffam and was one of 18 children they raised. He attended local schools and graduated from Massabesic High School in 1982. Brian was a stock car enthusiasts who raced his own car, # 64 "WC"= Wild Cat at Beach Ridge Speedway in Scarborough. In his younger years he enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, bowling with a local league, playing softball and playing a round of golf with his brother and son. He took great pleasure in watching his kid's race. Mr. Graffam was an avid outdoorsman. He recently participated in the Fishing Derby held at Little Ossipee Pond. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with family and friends camping. He had a big heart, one that was a giver by nature and was supportive of his children and their interests in life. His presence and gentle manner will be solely missed.Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Rhonda (Daney) Graffam; sons, Craig Daney and Brian Graffam and his daughter, Christie Graffam all of East Waterboro. Eight brothers, Anthony, Donald, Russell, David, Richard, Rodney and Kevin; Eight sisters, Vera, Christine, Dorothy, Brenda, Donita, Beverly, Donna and Lisa. Also, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his parents and by one brother, Lewis Jr. and one sister, Tracy. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Feb. 25th. at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be later in the spring.Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 343 Gorham Rd., So. Portland, ME 04106.
