Brent Christopher Bisson

February 3, 1958 ~ June 9, 2024
Resided in:
Newfield, Maine
Brent Christopher Bisson (66) of West Newfield, ME passed away comfortably Sunday, June 9th from a sudden illness.
Brent was born on February 3rd, 1958, the son of Glenard and Lillian (Turcotte) Bisson.
Brent worked most of his career in the automotive industry. Starting in his early teens, he worked alongside his grandfather at the business his grandfather owned, Turcotte Motors in Berwick, ME. When it closed he went on to work as Parts Manager, Service Manager, and Service Director at other local Maine and NH car dealerships. Brent spent the past 5 years semi-retired, working at The Home Depot in Rochester, NH.
Brent will be missed dearly by his surviving family. His loving wife of 32 years, Linda Bisson. His younger brother, Dale Bisson, of South Berwick, ME. His son and one of his closest confidants, Kiel Bisson & his daughter in-law, Meaghan Cavanaugh of Milton Mills, NH. His daughter that adored him, Ashley Powell & son in-law, Jesse Powell of Lebanon, ME and his four beautiful grandchildren.
Known to them as Papa, Brent was happiest when his grandchildren started to arrive. His two grandsons Landon and Seth and two Granddaughters Natalie and Alissa always looked forward to going “up to camp”. Whether it was fishing on the dock with Landon, snowmobiling around the lake with Seth or Sledding and S’mores with Natalie and Alissa, Brent’s greatest joys were always on Rock Haven Lake.
When he was a child his parents, Glen & Lil, owned the family-built camp on Rock Haven Lake where he met and made his lifelong friends, Billy Thorpe (whose garage you could always find him hanging out in), Shelly Teel Gobeille & Terry Thorpe Pierce. Later in life, Brent came to own this camp with his wife Linda, and wanted to turn it into a home that they could both retire in. He worked hard, making many upgrades, to make it a home that would be comfortable and fun for them and so many others to enjoy.
His family invites you, not for sadness, but memories, stories and laughter about Brent to celebrate his life on Sunday, June 23rd from 11-2 at Edge Lake Farm at 1804 Province Lake Rd. Parsonsfield, ME.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution to Newfield Rescue, 85, Water Street, West Newfield, Maine of the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, Maine 04074.
Come with your favorite stories and memories or as Brent would say…come with “whateva”…
