Beverly M. Wright

Beverly M. Wright, 79 years old, of Shapleigh, ME died May 8, 2006 in Sanford.Beverly was born on December 18, 1926 in Sanford, ME. She was the daughter of the late Alva Sr. and Mary (Hanson) McDougal. Beverly was raised in Sanford and was a graduate of both Sanford High School, and Nasson College, and received her teaching degree from there.Over the years Beverly taught in Collinsville, IL, and Santa Clara, CA. She was a former member of the Sanford First Baptist Church, and most recently a member of the Shapleigh First Baptist Church.Beverly enjoyed sewing, and doing needlework. She often taught people how to make their own clothing, and she would make dresses as gifts for others.Predeceasing her is her brother Alva McDougal Jr.Surviving is her husband of over 57 years Willard Wright of Shapleigh; two daughters, Sharon Dorr of Carson City, NV, Martha Toschi of San Jose, CA, a son Raymond Wright of Harrisburg, PA, and six grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Marjorie Davis, Mary Louise Matteson, and a brother Robert McDougal.An 11:00 AM memorial service for Beverly will be held this Saturday, June 24, 2006 at the Shapleigh First Baptist Church.Condolences may be expressed by using the tab to the left.
